Disabled DLC in the first day
Was super excited for the DLC. Installed it, was pleasantly surprised when it booted up and didn't crash my pc. Generated a character, could not wait to stomp all of the world beneath the Kerait boot.. and the game looked like a 90's horror show. Glitchy pixels everywhere to the point it looked like the old snow you saw on tv with poor reception. Tried lowering the graphics settings to no avail. Ended up disabling the DLC so I could at least enjoy the larger map. I'm watching the comments and fixes, hoping that Paradox makes a way for this DLC to be enjoyable. For now, I think I'll be leaving it disabled. A shame, it looks like it has so much potential.

Disable any mods you have.
I've had similar issues. I've got a new, high-spec laptop just a couple of months old and purchased CK3 Chapter 4 today so I could have a go at All Under Heaven but as sigurdironbeard13 says, there are glitchy pixels everywhere like an analogue TV with poor reception and there have also been crashes.
Try these steps one by one (on Windows):

1. Disable all mods
2. Change the game settings to DirectX 11
3. Try running sfc /scannow on your system (if you’ve had crashes before)
4. Update your graphics card drivers.
5. Verify the integrity of the game files on Steam
6. Only then, launch the game again
7. Now you can play around with the graphics settings (low, high, etc.), depending on how the game runs for you after the changes.

In the meantime, of course, you should restart your computer, but that’s probably obvious. Remember, steps 3 and 4 concern your system—they’re safe, but just be aware that you’re making changes to your system.
ALLCON; switching to DirectX11, and the new push they put out appears to have resolved the issue. Currently running AUH and it no longer looks like winter. Thanks!

Let us pause for a second here and think about what this means and what this world has come to.

XDD

What can you do, that’s just a real paradox XD
Spoke too soon.... the next push crushed the graphics again. Gave up in despair and disabled AUH. Guess I'll just do what one always does with PDX... watch the threads, and wait until the game is actually completed. Gives me so much hope for the HOI4 release scheduled later this month....

people using mods then complaining that it broke the game after an update
Have zero mods..just base game and DLC. disabling the dlc and returning to base game + previously released DLC= problem solved. Ergo, problem is AUH and the current tweaks that are being implemented.
