Restore Roman Empire Hardmode not ending?

I did the hardmode with all the plagues and the hellenic faith. I am on my second character since starting the event.

I have since then taken over every single county from the old "Restore the borders" event, as well as The Theodosian Borders, Mesopotamia and Jazira.

-I have checked with every single neighbour thrice that there is no "Conquer Roman Province" Casus Belli
-I have checked every isle and county within the borders incase there was someone somehow having escaped the empire.

One thing that did happen after my character that I started the event on died, is that the pop-up events for having reclaimed old roman provinces stopped appearing. I also reformed the Hellenic faith after a while, before having conquered everything.

What can I do? Do I have to restart? Is the entire thing just bugged? Was it something I did? Is there even an event to stop the hardmode things?

Upon re-reading the conditions, I see now that it's "The entire map", not just the original borders, my bad!

It's kinda difficult to do when you lose the "Roman conquest of Empire" casus belli once you die and play as your heir tho...

By using https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3438735037 Roman Invasion CB Succession Fix, I'm able to conqueror the whole map, but the peasant rabble still persists, so I believe it's bugged.

I checked the script just now, apparently, there's no way to end hard mode except the cleave empire decision.

following code snippet can be found in ep3_decisions.txt

remove_variable = roman_empire_hard_mode cannot be found in any other places.
Therefore, the only way to end hard mode is cleave the empire.
