Lag Due to Large Administrative Empire (454 Counties, 169 Vassals, Year 1039)

I'm experiencing significant lag in my game, and I suspect it might be due to the size of my administrative empire. I currently control 454 counties, have 169 vassals, and the game is in the year 1039. The speed of the game is getting slower.

I'm not entirely sure if the lag is caused by the size of my realm, but it seems likely. Has anyone else encountered this issue with a large administrative empire? Are there any settings, mods, or optimizations that could help improve performance?
