Spymaster council position cannot be assigned and husband alive but missing
Similar issue as here

I think my current husband was the former spymaster of my last ruler. After her death he seems somewhat lost in spacetime. He is neither in my court nor council, however it says ingame that he is in my court in a barony that actually wasn't created and therefor doesn't exist. I cannot invite him to my court either...

I cannot go back in time either, because i play in ironman mode. Maybe divorce or murder could help?

I'm having the same bug. I appointed my heir's wife as spymaster, and upon death and moving to playing my heir, my wife mysteriously vanishes from her position and it says I have "no available spouse." The difference is that she is listed as being in my capital city, I think. Strangely, I also noticed that my marshal wasn't in her position either, but I was able to hire her again with no problem. When I click to appoint a new spymaster, the game crashes. The first time this happened I had to reload and old save, only to get back to this point and have it happen again...

I just want to play... I need my wife back..!!!

I've just found this thread where a developer acknowledges this is a bug. Hopefully fixed soon. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1158310/discussions/1/4629233756625976085/

I also just considered that maybe my marshal randomly dropped her position because I technically am related to her by a marriage (my daughter to her son) too...?
