Initializing Game

It's been stuck on this loading screen for what seems like forever. Sometimes it does take a while to load (around 5 minutes or so usually) but now it's just stuck on this screen and shows no signs of loading the start menu.

Does anyone have any advice for getting the hamster back on the wheel?

Sometimes it seems the game get stuck in loading until I do a ctrl+alt+del

Yeah, looks like Royal Court broke the game for me too.
What I did so far:
1. Wait for more than 20 minutes
2. Updating Windows, checking GPU Drivers
3. Disabling all Mods
4. Validating files (17 Files failed to validate)

Game still takes ages to "initialize" and then CTD's prior the main menu.

Specs: I7, 32GB RAM, 3080ti Win 10x64

5. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Works now!

I've tried all of these except the uninstall and re-install. I'll give it a go and see how I get on. :)

The uninstall and re-install worked. It not launches and plays OK. There are a few crashes unlike before but at least it's working. :)

Initializing Game Taking Forever?

If it;s happening to you, try deleting the paradox launcher, in appdata folders and my documents everywhere you can find paradox launcher files, then launch the game through steam and let the launcher reinstall. Took forever to find that issue and fix so hope it helps others.

Game start stuck on Initialising

it's what it says on the tin. The game's stuck on initalising and doesn't start. I've done the obvious things (uninstall and reinstall etc etc) and don't know what else would work

stuck on initializaing game

i cant even launch the game. it just goes to initializing game forever and then freezes..

the thing is i have played before. i started a game, saved it.. and since i played once i am not able to start the game at all

Stuck on "Initializing Game"

Hello CK3 Community. Whenever I launch CK3, my game is stuck on "Initializing Game" screen. I would appreciate any remedy (as I have re-installed the game already).

Try deleting the Paradox launcher files like described here:

Stuck on Intiailizing game

After hitting play on steam and the launcher i get stuck on initializing game. I had a issue where it would just load into a black screen after hitting play on both launchers but i fixed that by deleting the launcher folders. now im stuck at this
