long loading times

i used to play in ck3 on not so legal copy, but i liked the game so i bought it. Compared to to**ented version, where even on hard moded copy i had to wait like 3 mins MAX to get to menu and 1 min MAX to load actuall save, this copy of game take like 7-8 mins to load up and over 3 to load the save. I have over 107 min in this game and maybe in 10 i actually was playing this game. I have ssd, so idk why this is happening. ( beside that sometimes i have very ugly sttutering, tho i play on the same configs as perviously)

Which CPU and how much RAM do you have?

Usually it takes under a minute to load the menu and few seconds to load a savegame on a proper CPU/RAM and SSD storage.

Verify files on Steam to check the game's integrity.

Update graphics card drivers if you haven't already.

If you have mods or custom files remove them from the main files and start from the Paradox launcher the Initial Playtest option which is the default configuration for CK3.

Did you perhaps install the game on a different hard drive? I installed the game on a normal HD instead of a SSD and it took forever to boot the game.
I reinstalled the game on my SSD and the game booted up in seconds.

It takes me 4m55s to fully load my game and save (music kicks in at 4m18s).
Kinda used to it now (i make a coffee), but i'm sure it didn't take quite this long when i first had the game...seem to remember the music kicked in quite quickly too.
My spec is decent, but certainly not spectacular - i5 8400, 16gb ram, nvidia 1060 (3gb), installed on a HDD.

EDIT...from research, it seems the game pre-loads lots of compressed data when you first start of game, so that the game runs well when you play it.

SSD is a game changer for CK3 loading time plus decent/recent CPU (2m30s on an i3 4130 vs 0m35s on an i5 11500 with SSD for both)

I don't have an SSD and it takes 7-8 minutes as posted above. I plan on getting on shortly anyway and I don't mind grabbing a drink or doing an odd job while I wait. But it is annoying if you have half hour to kill that it's probably not worth loading up for 20 mins of play. That said, it's not the kind of game you want to spend just 30 mins playing either, but an hour min.

if you want to buy ssd, buy m2 with at least 2.3 gb per sec, i was playing this game on sata 6 ssd, with 500 mb/s and its still take me 10 min to actually play this game, wiht my new ssd , it less than 3 ( on 10+ gb of mods )
