STEAM CLOUD fail
STEAM CLOUD has deleted all my gamesaves for Crusaders Kings 3, and Paradox says they dont have a copy either. I pay the game, and I want to play it again, but you are not able to manage a proper Cloud for my saves. Not only that, i dont even have a proper way to contact support now. Steam contact support mail doesnt work, and they dont have a Cloud related support, so i cant file a complain.

Not really the correct forum, as Paradox does not manage Steam servers where cloud saves are located (Steam does that, obviously). Unfortunately the best you can probably do (and have been doing) is contact Steam support on the issue.

A suggestion that may help is maybe try to re-sync the game with the Steam server? Otherwise, restart your computer, as sometimes its just Steam being wonky and weird, and the saves aren't actually deleted, the servers aren't connecting you to your saved data.

So, the obvious answer is never rely on cloud saves. It can be convenient, but there is no such thing as "the cloud". It's all servers in warehouses, paid for and fed by someone not us, linked more or less reliably, but even the best will fail eventually. I repeat, there is no cloud, just networked servers and storage.

Start a new game, save locally, and go from there. Or continue whinging about something no one can fix.

PS, Steam support has been excellent for me, even outside the refund window, if I had a good reason. I'm pretty sure "I lost my cloud save" doesn't count as a good reason.
