No acess to 1.12.5

Hello I am a bit of a boomer and trying to get on version 1.12.5 to play agot When I go into properties and I simply do not see the 1.12.5 version available do you need a beta code for this version ?

1.12.5 is the current version. You don't need to opt into any betas to access it.

See if you need to update in the first place, then just update your game in your library. It will do that automatically UNLESS you have disabled it in your library or chose to run a beta version previously.

If you earlier chose to run a beta (old) version turn that off.

i look in the beta 1.12.4 that all it shows for me cant see 1.12.5 why that ?

Because that is the current version. The default version. Beta versions are OLD versions only.

I am having trouble accessing elder kings 2 because of this reason. I don't understand what you mean but it would be great if someone could help me out!

cancel last: they are not alpha numerical on the list so it will be wedged between two seemingly unrelated version.
