Time stops

Currently i`m playing for Byzantine empire and my game just sort of stops at January 1st 1125, or when I`m trying to save it. Game does not crash, time just stops. I can cruise through all the UI, but date just stands still. Besides, game menu doesn`t work properly either, I cant load any other save, and I can`t exit to desktop, game just stops complitely.
For DLC, I run all DLCs from the Paradox, except the last one and Pets expanded.
Does anyone have this issue? How I can fix this?

I think there is some issue with the saves and autosaves. When I`m trying to save game, time stops. Autosave feature stops time too.

I had the same issue and there is a few threads discussing it as well in community support.

I tried to pinpoint the root cause but it doesn't seem tied to any particular mod.

I don't know if the prior update broke something but it is very frustrating.

I'd guess something wrong with steam cloud saves. Like try a new save *not* on the cloud so the autosaves start saving locally.

Or if your saves are local, try saving on the cloud instead.

This happens to me in Europa Universalis 4 when a save file has been corrupted.

It might be the same thing here, the only thing you can do is to load a save from at least 3 years before the freeze happens or even further back if possible. That should solve it.

I had the same problem, I used historical figures with historical invasions

Yeah, it seems a common enough problem, yet literally everyone state they have different mods and different reasons. Really weird! I guess I would recommend to turn off all the mods and to set auto saving to once a year or less, or turn it off completely.
