Unusual Stutter during gameplay

First time playing in about two months.. got the new dlc.. getting unusual stutter during gameplay, like fps drops.. never had the problem before

This could be related to the new Texture Streaming setting, which I think is On by default. This setting helps a lot with the GPU's VRAM usage as it is now much less used, but it could lead to some slight stutters when zooming in/out or moving the map around, because the CPU has to load/unload textures dynamically. However this setting is a great thing and will become even more needed in the future when much more clothing variants and other textures will be added to the game, because without it you would much likely run out of GPU VRAM and could experience much more severe fps drops than those you have with the setting turned on. I believe the severity of the stutters your encounter with the setting turned On depends on your hardware setup, mainly your CPU.

However if you want to test out how your game plays without the Texture Streaming turned on, you can disable it in the Graphics settings. It could resolve your unusual stutters, or they could be unrelated to the new setting.

It seems better now thanks.. I have a fairly good pc and it was annoying me

yea the stutter at times is very annoying as i was used to this game being buttery smooth (fast or fastest speed), not to mention the visual bugs in the menu's. i'm sure paradox know all this but released it anyway..
