Accolades replaced by lower glory knights on succession?
Playing as an emperor, and I have 4 accolades. On death, my son (a duke), takes the throne. The first two accolades I have, both around level 5, get replaced by (presumably), my son's knights, who are only at level one. The two other accolades remain, probably because my son only has 2 accolade slots as a duke.

Is there any way to prevent losing those two accolades with all of that glory? It takes a large amount of time to build them up to that level, so it's frustrating to have them essentially destroyed for no reason when succession occurs. The only solution I can think of is to make my heir unlanded through retracting titles, which feels very dumb.

This is still happening on 1.9.2. It seems like the accolades themselves are totally destroyed on succession for some reason, because if I set all 4 to inactive (by retiring them for 3000 prestige), only 2 are listed as inactive when my heir takes the throne.

The lost accolades are not the same attribute setup as the two new ones. The lost are fanatic/idealist and valiant/stalwart, while the two new ones are politicker/scoundrel and idealist/valiant. I don't know if the latter knight having two attributes of the lost titles, one primary and one secondary, is related.

The only method I've found of stopping this is revoking my heir's titles, which not only causes tyranny, but also screws with succession and is unreliable in situations where you don't know you're about to die.

Why did you, even give your direct Heir, a Title?
Since T&T is only for your disadvantage, because your Heir can no longer get good Traits from travelling with you, like the Pilgrim Trait.

He was a secondary son and not my primary heir, until my primary heir was no longer fit to rule.

It's not really relevant to the topic of the thread, which is the accolade system not working correctly.
