Bootstrapper error, people with Avast

Check your virus chest in Avast, and add an exception to the paradox launcher. Fixes the error.

Thank you Jonas but I cannot find the file in the Avast Virus chest. I reinstalled the whole game and still does not work. A little popup box comes up and says Bootstrap error Could not start launcher.. How do I add a exception when I cant find the file and what do I type and where. I am 76 years old and this is all beyond me.
I phoned my computer maker and he was no help.

im trying this, but avast be like, nah cant restore that file. so im redownloading the game to see if i can launch it that way

I don't have Avast, i uninstalled AVG, reinstalled the game, deleted paradox folders, executing steam as admin ... still dont work

Am unaware of other fixes guys, am sorry. I'd go to the official Paradox forums for more support. They got dedicated people for this kind of stuff. Seems that many people using the Paradox launcher got some issues and it's sometimes caused by a false positive from an antivirus software.
