Holy Roman Empire mechanics
Warfare update
I do think they should do some Western/Central European content soon though, anything to make being Catholic interesting, I hardly ever play there anymore. So instead of a nation specifically, I vote for something to expand Catholicism. College of Cardinals or something.
- Societies make a comeback from ck2.
- Wholesale improvements to the ai.
- Maybe some kind of supernatural dlc, since ck2 had those elements.
- The game needs to become more challenging.
- I want to see way more inspiration from ck2 as a whole actually. Every game of ck3 feels very similar no matter where you are on the map. Ck2 playthroughs seem far more memorable to me. Am I the only one that feels this way?
- Landless gameplay needs a total rethink IMO, or failing that needs expanding upon.
- I kinda want the game to be 'degameified' a little bit, like having claims be based on random chance rather than a predetermined time that's always a success.
I think a Turkic Overhaul would fit within the Nomads. That should probably include Ottomans in my opinion.
Based on where they are researching right now, as that correlates with what games share in DLC. Both with flavor and mechanics.
They have been in the middle east's general region for several DLC's, so I doubt they will be in the middle east next year.
While HoI IV is getting it's mid east flavor pack, It's just the last of the games getting that for the mid east research cycle. CK3, EUIV, Vicky 3 already got their mid east DLC all within the same cycle.
Right now India is the ticket for flavor, with Vicky 3's DLC hinting they have been researching the region.
Hints towards mechanics are harder to define, but Stellaris sometimes hints mechanical ideas, although landless was actually a hint for Stellaris, with the Grand library DLC sharing similar scripting.
AI war mechanics 'improvements'. AI was weak to begin with and has not kept up with the updates and DLC. 'Landing' or Crusades work worse than the AI ever did in HOI... and that's saying something. :)
However id really add the idea that instead of Sub-Saharan Africa, Ethiopia should get an overhaul before. Ethiopia was a pretty important location during the Middle Ages and had alot of history and flavor.
Western/Central Europe however... yeah... it really needs more flavor. Especially since Europe is kinda where alot of the game is focused on.
Proper Trade.
Personal Housing aka ability to build stuff that you own. Like houses to rent out, businesses, taverns etc.
Legends of the dead, for instance, is shamefully bad.
I feel this is the worst DLC in the entirety of the Crusader Kings series, and I've played every single one of them (including CK1 and its expansion).
I've had to manually edit .txt files in the CK3 directory to fix childishly simple bugs that for some reason Paradox either don't know about or don't care about, it's shameful that they charge as high a price as they do for their DLC's and don't even fix the remaining issues from the previous ones first.
I really don't want to pay full price for another CK3 DLC unless Paradox improve.
I'll stop playing once they start releasing more DLC's and then once the entire season pack is out I'll wait for a sale.
That's what I did with the most recent season pass, and it feels so much better knowing I paid less than the asking price, even though I still paid more than the actual value of the game (devs don't get to magically force a value onto their product, if the game is sold for 60$ but it sucks then it isn't actually worth 60$.
Stop being whales, stop encouraging Paradox to prioritize quantity over quality. I'd prefer no DLC's at all for the full year if it meant they actually went back and improved the worst aspects of CK3 as it stands (for instance, there are still provinces in the horn of Africa with placeholder names, etc.).
