Guide to Changing Adventurer Camp after 1.18
We all know that Paradox, in their infinite wisdom, managed to somehow completely break the ability to save changes to titles after AUH. After a lot of tinkering, I managed to find a workaround for those who don't want to be wandering with the name "Shield Bearers" or something stupid like that.

Unfortunately, I'm unsure if WinRAR will work, so you should download 7-Zip to do this, as well as Notepad++.

Step 1: Make a new manual save.

Step 2: Go to your saves folder (documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings iii/save games).

Step 3: Right-click your save and open archive in 7-Zip.

Step 4: Select "gamestate" and click extract.

Step 5: Navigate to where "gamestate" extracted to, right click it, and edit with Notepad++.

Step 6: Copy contents of this file and create a new text document within Notepad++.

Step 7: Use CTRL+F to find three specific appearances of the originally generated name. Exclude the "The" when searching (I.E. if camp's name is "The Shield Bearers" search for just "Shield Bearers"). The first instance should be at the top, while the other two are right next to each other around line 619,000 (for me).

Step 8: Use CTRL+S to save the file. Give it a separate name to the original save and append ".ck3" to it. Place the file into the save games folder and load.

Comment if you need help.

It says the save is corrupted when I do this
Here's the actual solution from a reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/CrusaderKings/comments/ilce32/editing_save_file_ck3/)

If you come across this post & have problems editing your save after 1.9 & its patch(es), here's what eventually worked for me (credit mainly to u/jvtavares for this, on the thread linked by OP). Do not open the .ck3 file itself in Notepad++, this isn't necessary & may even contribute to saves being marked corrupted now, etc:

Needed: 7zip, Notepad++ (or similar programs, but these may be best)

Make a manual save in-game

Go to (on Windows) Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/save games to find your manual saves & backup/copy the save you want to edit (preferably somewhere else)

Open the backup/copy of your .ck3 save file with 7zip (do not close/save it until step 6)

Extract the gamestate file

Open the gamestate file with Notepad++, edit things carefully, & save, making sure you do not add/append a file extension to the gamestate file

Go back to 7zip with your open .ck3 file, delete the gamestate file in it, & copy the new gamestate file to the open 7zip window, saving if prompted

( I would rename the newly-edited copy of the save at this point )

( The save may at first show that achievements are no longer available, in the menu next to "Game Rules" once you load it up successfully, but dropping a new manual save & loading this seemed to resolve that. Return to your backup to try again if its doesn't )

( step 7 seemed to be a graphical bug; just do Control+F to "Find" in Notepad++ and make sure "can_get_achievements=yes" in the gamestate file & it should work, nowadays even without Ironman / even with mods )

Pretty sure titles not saving name changes has been patched in the most recent update. Unsure if this guide is even needed anymore.
