DLCs worth it? Which one to buy?

After playing CK II for many hours I finally gave CK III after a release that couldn't get me another try. And so far I like where the game is going.

However, reading through the DLC features (royal court, tours and tournament) I'm unsure if they're worth the price of like 30$ each. The traveling and hunting stuff is free (probably in a more simple way) and the court I just can't imagine that this should add new depths and game mechanics.

What are your thoughts and experience?

It's honestly a great experience and game. And I love the idea it gets updates and decent content.

Personally though I just don't want to support this kind of business practice anymore. People are better off waiting for them to finish milking and buy all this junk on sale or not at all.

Also, the fact you have to ask, means you already know its kinda poopy.

Exactly. I've been playing Paradox games for more than 10 years and it feels like the DLCs of the newer titles offer less features for a higher price. And CK III imo seems to be on another level.

While most of the EU4 or CK II DLCs added new features and new gameplay mechanics that greatly increased the core game these CK III DLCs aren't convincing.

That's why I asked. Because it's hard to make an opinion of something that you don't own.

I bought the first DLC pass and it added very little. The second DLC pack seems to be even worse. The upcoming DLC expansion looks good, but I doubt it'll be worth the money

They will both be on sale in the spring sale next month. Wait till them and get them both.

Tours and Tournaments adds quite a lot to the game and might be worth buying. But getting most of the DLCs in a heavily discounted bundle is really the best idea. Just wait for the next sale.

All of them, but if you don't want to get them all, start with Tours and Tournaments and Royal Court

My favs so far are Tour's and tournaments, Royal court, wards and wardens, and the Norse one, i'm spacing on the name, The other flavor packs i'm not into the areas, so i would pass on them. The one next month does sound good though, but we will see.

Vanilla is all right. I think I got my value's worth. But man, you can a few triple-AAA classics for the price of a DLC. Not worth it.

Royal Court, Tours and Tournaments, Vikings and Fate of Iberia. Legacy of Persia is awful and pretty much a waste of money.

The Tournament one is fun, but ridiculous. I held a emperor-tier tourney and had to wrestle a midget in the finals. Than I lost the archery competition against a one-handed dude. Lame.
