Fate of Iberia - Involve issues
Hey! I've been recently trying to get involved into the struggle of Iberia in my campaign as a French emperor (that wasn't born in Iberia or had anything to do with this event when starting the campaign).

The problem is that I can't get my culture nor my faith to be part of this event. In order to end it I must be involved (unless I take that other decision from decisions menu with less bonuses).

To be involved means having my realm capital in Iberia, having my culture in Iberia and 80% of my faith in Iberia (as it's a custom faith I've created).

My faith is now 100% of Iberia, converted everybody participating to my faith too, but I am still not faith-involved.
My culture is now 100% of Iberia too (did this via console commands to test it out) and I am still not culture-involved.

The only involvement is having my realm capital in Iberia, which is the only thing that works regarding involving yourself in this event.

Anyone else experienced this issue? I saw an old post regarding this same issue. and I have trouble understanding if I do something wrong or if it is just bugged out.

As far as i now, the faith requirement is 80% of total provinces of that faith being in Iberia. not 80% of Iberia being that faith.

So for example, if there are only 10 provinces total of a certain religion, 8 of those need to be in Iberia to meet requirements.

So even if ALL of Iberia is X religion, if there are more then 20% of the TOTAL number of provinces in the world of that religion located outside Iberia, it wont involve.

This is a common misconception. At least 80% of your culture/faith needs to be in Iberia to have the involved status. The Iberian region includes the empire of Hispania, and the duchy of Gothia. There are 87 counties in the Iberian region. In turn 87 is 80% of 109, and 109 - 87 = 22. So you can't have 23 counties outside of the Iberian region that have your culture/faith and be involved in the struggle even if you converted all if Iberia.

Also they added the Iberian foothold decision specifically for people trying to drag an existing empire into the struggle. Scroll up from here https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Decisions#Faith_reformation
That is uninvolved so get your capital out of the region if you moved it there (when not at war you can always move to the De Jure capital of your main title if you own it). Also you need to own half of Iberia, and have personally held a kingdom title from the region for 15 years.
