Inheritance law and matrilineal marriage
I have had two different experiences. First, I changed to equal inheritance in tradition and then law and still, my family married off their females to other families. In another playthrough, I made these same changes, and my dynasty focused on matrilineal marriages for most females. Is there something I need to be doing to ensure this second outcome in the future?

Equal is an very bad Law, because the AI only has an -200 Penalty for marrying off their Direct Heir into another Dynasty.
This is the only Law, where it is possible to steal an entire Empire from another Dynasty, because of this.

You should rather only male only or female only for your Gender Succession Law, Male Preference and Female Preference are fine too, but stay away from Equal.

Okay, what about an administrative government? I'm simply picking an heir and throwing influence, prestige, and gold at the problem.

Edit, add:

And should changing this to equal ensure houses will marry daughters matrilineally?
