Heir's target weight keeps reverting to -47
I'm so annoyed by my heir constantly becoming anorexic and malnourished. I've even resorted to opening the explorer menu via debug mode and manually adjusting his target weight back to 0 but it keeps reverting to -47 when I load my saves. He has the temperate trait, but so does my character and his target weight is only -4.

Is there anything that can be done to cure my son's unhealthy habit of not eating properly? How does the game even calculate target weight?

The target weight is probably calculated as a sum of certain factors. So you could only change that by giving them different traits.

Simply download the most up to date daddy pika cheat menu, then

present menu > health presents > eliminate issues

Thanks, that works for a time, but his weight still keeps trending down to -47. Is there any way to make his weight permanently 0?

Why not use the Advanced Cheat Menu?

I do, but that only allows you to change current weight, which, like with Daddy Pika's, will slowly trend towards the target weight except with significantly more clicks needed.

Just open console, remove his temperate trait and add the gluttonous trait. Problem solved.

But this doesn't explain to OP "why" that will change the target weight.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The Temperate trait is definitely not the culprit

Definitely check the wiki on that, see what actually applies to your situation. Are you bringing him on hunts all the time and never feasting? Does he have a bunch of traits in the moderate/large decrease categories?

Thank you for this, this ought to help readjust his weight and I see now what the likely causes are. My heir is temperate, diligent, generous, and brave, three of these having slight-to-moderate weight decrease effects. I'll try giving him the comfort eater and hashishiyah traits, hopefully that'll balance his weight back to normal.

Edit: Yup, that did it. His target weight is now -4.
