I gave it a positive review, it's the best CK3 DLC so far, I recommend to anyone as there's good content to be had for every culture on the map.
That doesn't mean the wild berry thing, the duel thing, the knight thing, or every other popup spam doesn't get incredibly annoying after the first couple of hours.
And that's just for travel, no, I don't need to notice courtier gathering herbs & flowers on my hunting trip for the 500th time either, just tell them to focus on the hunt as I did for the last 499 times, no, I don't want to be asked about some birb nest we found for the 500th time either, just take it home and don't ask me about it again, etc...
Any activity or traveling event seen in a single playthrough shouldn't ever be able to show up again, or, if it did, just autopick the same option unless there's something new to chose, at the very least make it a small popup @ the corner of the screen with a timer/bar allowing me to change the option if I feel like clicking it, or just default to the last choice if I don't, whatever the solution is, just don't interrupt the gameplay with any more popups.
After a while players aren't even reading any of it anyway, they just chose by "do I want extra dread or do I want an opinion boost?", the context no longer matters.
And I always take a forest guide if there's over 2 forests. I don't know that's the only. And I never have the highest danger %. Maybe I was just unlucky, but together with the .
My issue is actually with my vassels not handling it well. But I already mentioned the solution, which is not to land them to not give them access to these events, including the drowning ones. Yet that can't be the way to play the game.
For the record: I for one gave it a positive review because the good outweighs the bad. I have seen some weird tourney results though, which makes me wonder what the ratings are used for.
I honestly don't understand this community anymore.
"BEGH! Why can't I play my game anymore without buying the DLC?!"
And now:
"This DLC gives barely anything yet most of the content is in the free update!!"
Make up your minds people, either go to Hoi4 or accept this is not going to be a super in depth medieval warfare combat game.
You guys don't take any criticism well. It is actually a well known thing, Paradox is a joke on most forums. This expansion kind of just keeps adding to that fire. I love being able to screen cap and use it later to prove that no, you guys will silence criticism, no matter how it is stated. Using the guise as an "attack" when someone points out the laziness of something, how all you did was add in a feature you took out from CK2 in this expansion (regents), and a few events. And that seems to be the way of CK3 expansions, adding back what was taken out from CK2.
Uhh, the original post here is pretty hostile. Not sure how it's "soft" to ask someone to dial it back a bit because there is a big difference between constructive criticism and outright hostility and toxicity.
What exactly is "hostile" and "toxic" about OP's opinion about his experience with the DLC? Not everyone is going to enjoy the DLC, and to call it "hostile" for calling it the worst garbage he's played is taking it far.
It wasn't the most constructive post ever, but it wasn't rule-breaking. If we felt it crossed the line, it would have been removed. My comment on the first page was directed at a couple responses that were likely to cause issues; OP has been just fine since that point.
As we've said many times in the past, you're free to criticize the game and company all you want; where we draw the line is insulting our developers or other users.
if you insist
Well I'll certainly never criticize the game or company! :) (That's a lie I sometimes have criticism as well. For instance, please fix my wife coming with me on travels yet still being regent at the same time. And also maybe apply a regency when I'm physically out commanding my army.)
My man. My brother. My friend.

Literally right now, the DLC we are discussing, has 85% positive. It's fair to say many DLCs in the past have been mixed or worse, yes. But the fact is that this very DLC is an exception, and I can find several others.
Lots of Stellaris' Species Packs, for instance. Stellaris: Federations. Stellaris: Utopia. HOI IV: No Step Back. They're out there, even despite the concerted effort that you say exists.
We'd prefer people criticize what they don't like about the game so we can work on making the game better; there's just a difference between "I don't like X because Y" and "game sucks, lazy devs" in terms of usefulness.
The former is clearly actionable and something we can work with, while the latter is just noise.
Absolutely fair. I think Paradox does one of the better moderating jobs, to be honest. I've been booted from other places simply for stating my opinion a little too assertively.
The various PDX games, on the other hand, I see people slinging mud at the game and the company all the time and getting away with it (as they should). Moderating well isn't an easy job. Having to walk the line between "far" and "too far" when judging comments surely grates on the nerves. But you lot do a stellar job overall, a few hiccups notwithstanding.
Of course, this is coming from the Paradox Knight, so it's just gonna look like jester farming. :P Nevertheless I felt it had to be said.
That's not a loop hole, it's an exploit/cheat
Yep. And what's the solution to an exploit/cheat in singleplayer games? "Don't do that thing."
(In multiplayer it's honor system.)
