I don't understand this game or how it's top seller... It's just a map with countries and portraits and everything is over-complicated you can't do anything in this game... Also it's DLCS hell of paradox which is another bad thing lol

Like other Paradox titles, it's basically just an excel spreadsheet but with fancy graphics. Might not be to everyone's taste which is totally fine.

Yeah and i really hate how they treat people with dlcs when the base game should have such content.... they're a big joke who take their fans for jokes too

Yeah, I'm hoping this time this will have more depth to it unlike the shallow and pretty meh Royal Court and Iberia DLCs. Struggle mechanic sounded good on paper, but implementation was eh. And boy let me tell you about that stupid bugged feuds friend and foes added that they haven't fixed yet.

So hopefully this will have more depth, but we'll see, not expecting anything really.

It's a game that confuses. At first. Play it for a while, start to tap the depths of this huge iceberg, and it starts to click. The possibilities start to unfold and you go "Ohhhh! Holy crap that's awesome!"

Not everyone taps it. Some people lack the patience to grasp the many layers of mechanics, and some simply lack the desire to play a game that's about fueling your imagination and helping you tell an emergent story. That's just not what they're into. Either is fine!

In other words, don't hold it against yourself if it doesn't click for you. Nice if it does, but if not, that's fine too.

What exactly did you think the game was going to have you do?

Were you expecting a real time tactics game, or maybe something like the Total War games?

Were you expecting a "Third Person" isometric thing?

Given the nature of the game, how else would the game express itself, other than portraits, maps and text and choices?

What is it that you think is over complicated exactly?

Anything you can think of, you can actually do in this game.. (with mods as well)

Some people just complain about literally everything. You give them a cookie, they will complain about the taste, you give them money, they will complain about the denomination, you give them a compliment, they complain about your lack of wokeness...etc

You literally have not provided a valid argument as to what this game is doing wrong.
I WOULD have agreed with you, if you pin-pointed the simplified military battle system for example (There are excellent mods that make them more immersive, with duels and battlefield events..etc)

It's quite strange and disapointing that people want the same games over and over. Not everything has to be Skyrim/Apex. This game is one of my favourite personally and I have a hard time understanding how people play the Star Wars games or the Call of Duty ones and it's okay. It doesn't make those games bad or unlikable, but I believe it is unfair to expect ALL games to be exactly like those.

So the game is bad because you don't know how to play it.

Do the tutorial, watch tutorials on youtube, and when you get familiar with the interface, counties, dukes and kingdoms theme, the game will become fun to play.

Some of you think that all games have to be hit play and that the game does everything for you.
