for anyone experiencing system freezes since the latest update
rolling back to update 1.14.3(traverse) by the beta system on steam seems to stop that issue, currently having fun with no issues after an hour of play, have fun :dealerrizz:

The freezing has been happening for awhile. Seems to be a mix of memory leaks that ck3 has and the major yearly Windows 11 update that happened last year that made it happen more often.
I had 2 hard freezes. Did an game integrity check, no freeze since. DID NOT have to roll back or anything.

IF You feel you might be having a memory leak, you need to do an offline memory test. I did one and found a memory issue. Easy to fix since memory is pretty cheap.

tried it yesterday and did not improve my issue, its only with this game, i play others with no issue, with that being said, genuinely glad it worked for you, on a side-note, are you enjoying the automation system they added for court positions in 1.15?

Bumping, this worked for me as well, incredible fix from someone who properly knows what is going on inside a computer. TBH it's a shame that Paradox, with all its money, couldn't come up with a solution better than blaming Microsoft. Their titles are great but they've always been badly optimised (in my limited view) and clunky and hard on the hardware - need some more systems techs who really understand how PCs work.

my guess is, when ck3 first launched it ran really well, it was light on content, but things were progressing, somewhere during the end of the royal court development cycle(chapter 1) alot of technical debt was introduced, some was fixed, but the devs never had time to just look back on what they made and optimize things the best they could, fast forward to now and paradox is full steam ahead launching stuff, i really hope they the devs are given enough time to test things before the east asia update, or it will get much worse, if you think i am wrong, alot of modders who know way more than me are weary when newer versions of the game get dropped, and just wait or stick to the most stable version for a long time, i hope i am wrong on this
