Debug?
I am fairly new and inexperienced at CK3--still learning. In the menu options I frequently see something like "Debug: Main" in bold red. It is not clickable, so what does it mean and what should I do about it?

You don't *have* to do anything - those are things (the list below Debug: Main, the red words are a list header) you can do/click on when you have edit/debug enabled. I've had it on my game for so long I don't even remember if the list header was there before I enabled edit/debug or not.

You probably have edit/debug set up on your game; either you or somebody that played the game set it up. If you don't want to see the edit/debug options you can disable it again.

Where is debug turned on/off? I don't see a place to do that.

If you didn't make any changes to the game - do you have kernel level debugging enabled on the OS? This is usually done via the bootloader.

You don't do it in game. You do that in the Steam launcher for the game. Go to your Steam library, right-click on Crusader Kings III, select "Properties," then navigate to the "Launch Options" tab and delete the "-debug_mode" text from the field.

I have no idea what this does or doesn't do to existing saves where edit/debug was used.

IF you have been regularly selecting things from the menu under the Debug; Main header you're going to find it plays quite a bit differently without the 'shortcuts'. ;)
