Question regarding Legitimacy: Dies et Mon Droit
Hey Ck3 peeps. So I was wondering if the legacy "dies ey mon droit" only gives your dynasty a higher chance to get a 4th/5th tier education in the selected focus (Ie stewardship). Or if it was (as people have talked about in the past) actually giving a chance for all educations to get to the 5th tier.

I never did any testing with it, just selecting it when it was possible was enough as my heirs gained great benifits. But I would love to hear what you have seen.

TLDR:
Does Dies et Mon Droit only give the bonus to one education trait, or all of them?

i believe 5th tier from university only. I looked at the translation of Dies et Mon Droit and still don't know what it is.

Well I can answer the first part and perhaps make my question a little more specific.
That legacy is one of two ways I know of, that enables your non player toon to get the 5th tier. The other one is the estate building, but I have done even less testing with that one.

I am currently doing a game, and I decided to do some testing on it. But I wanted to hear other people what they had experienced. As it is otherwise a time consuming task.

What it's supposed to do;
Make the 4th tier more common, and make charachters that hit the 4th tier with almost perfect education ticks, get 5th tier (or have a chance for it).

What people have reported;
It enables charachters of all educations to get the 5th tier (per what I wrote above).

What I don't know is if it covers one or all five educations.

I have NEVER seen a 5th tier on an education trait except from university. I have seen 2 Education traits, yet its a rare thing. As far as the legacy perk, I think it's less likely to have level 1 or 2 education traits..

Well, good luck on your testing. Hopefully once its all done you can come back and fill us all in.

I have seen the 5th tier with other educations (martial and diplomacy, have never used it for stewardship), per the legacy, but only when the mentor had the 5th tier and good stats - and only sometimes. It was no guarantee. Have never seen a 'spontaneous' 5th tier education for something not selected. For 4th tier I don't know if I saw any significant improvement specifically due to the legacy - since you have usually tweaked your gene pool, have tutor and tree perks, and are selecting good educators by that point - 4th level educations are more common even without the legacy.

Less common than the congenital trait selected for inheritance in the Blood Legacy.

Just to be sure, you have seen the other traits, but only when you have already selected that education tree with the legacy. Never one of the others (so only martial if you selected martial).
Just to be sure, because if so, the legacy would work like it's worded in the game. (doing more testing tomorrow)

That is correct. I have gotten a 5th tier martial from a 5th tier martial mentor when I selected martial for example. I have never seen a random 5th tier anything. I don't think I have ever used it to generate 5th tier stewardship or intrigue, but it will generate 5th tier level educations, on occasion, for martial, learning, and diplomacy.

Oh snap, JP is this from NEW DLC content? Maybe this is why I didn't really have much of a clue....
