Existing characters are fully randomized, unless any of their properties is set somewhere in the historical data files.
So, that's just a known bug/design that everyone commonly deals with? Know of any workarounds at all?
Not sure what you are asking. The orientation of you or everyone else?
Select your orientation upon creation? If you do that, it does not randomize. Click on one of the orientation icons when you create a character, like you do for M/F.
Use edit/debug and a command to change orientation? (You can do that with yourself, or anyone else, at any point).
There may even be a mod that changes everyone's sexual orientation. You would have to look.
There is no bug. The sexuality in Ruler Designer defaults to random - you can change it, and the game sticks to that.
And as mentioned, all the playable characters have random traits, random education, random sexuality, UNLESS any of these are specified in the historical DNA files. Which is mostly the case with the "interesting starts" or any of the better-documented historical figures.
For example, Harald Fairhair (867 Oslo region) always defaults to homosexual, and you can't change it in the game.
