New way to edit saved games? Need help editing saved games on mac.

So i tried to open edit a saved game on my mac my unziping it with the following command unzip (I went to the location of the file) did unzip "SavedFileName.ck3" *was i supposed to have quotes? some ppl have said yes, some ppl have said no.

Then I opened the gamestate file. after this I made my changes saved it. Then I changed teh name to say test.ck3 (i changed the name by right clicking on the file and clicked rename).

Afterwards I tried to load the file when i played and i got an error with the title failed to load saved file bla bal bla saved game couldn't be loaded for a few reasons. bla bla bla bla.


so what did i do wrong? can someone explain how?

I've also tried using PDx-unlimiter app as well to edit the saved games and I still get the same result.
