Buying Steppe DLC
I'm not interested in All Under Heaven dlc. Can I just get the steppe dlc when it comes out or do I have to buy the whole pack?

The DLC will be available to purchase a la carte on its release day, as is tradition with CK3 DLC.

Just so you're aware - even if you do not buy the China DLC, your map will still be updated to include China and your game will still get some functionality from that content, just not the paid stuff.

When they put in great plagues, there was some kind of a shenanigan where people who bought the DLC had like "Plagues 100% Mode" while people who didn't were given "Plagues 200% Mode" and punished for not buying it.

Thanks for the info. When it comes to Paradox, nothing surprises me. But I have no interest in the Chinese and I wish they would make a standalone dlc for Japan. I like Japanese history but half of the dlc is about the Chinese. I feel like I wasted my money. I've never played with the Chinese in a historical game. If there's China in a game, I'll divide it or conquer it or loot it. But I'll never play with a Chinese nation. Never.

I am sure it's only a matter of time before the official game's China release causes the Rajas of Asia content mods to move into the new map. This will probably be used for situations like removing the west and having a 3 Kingdoms or Sengoku era mod.

I am seeing a lot of hope for Area/Region mods. There are many mods that remove areas from the map. Some of them will surely be useful for creating scenarios that don't need the whole world.
