Living Characters Out of Sync
Two of my buddies and I have been playing a campaign together and today when we loaded from an autosave we keep getting a living character out of sync error that boots either me or my other friend. We have all verified our files and it keeps happening. Our friend that is hosting has even run the game forward by a month without me and our other buddy in the game. Created a save and rehosted but the same problem persisted. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help or advice

Same problem, no answer/solution yet - even in paradox forums. Anyone got an idea?
No mods. Different location of players.

Same problem here
Me and a friend have noticed that it only happens on a freshly loaded save specifically.

If one starts a new-game it doesn't go out of sync, however if one loads this save it goes out of sync withing the current ingame month with the living character desync.

What seems to prevent a living character desync is nobody touching anything (and I do mean ANYTHING, not even looking at things, all hands off the mouse/keyboard) and then wait until the month rolls over to the next.
We usually start touching stuff at the 2nd day of the next month after a save load.

Note that this workaround only applies to living character desyncs.

Just stambled upon the way to fix the problem. Was searching the internet for a fix, and surprisingly, not a lot of people share a simple solution. I found many ways to help stabilize the game, but none worked 100% of times. What helped, was, (AND I AM NOT KIDDING) literally just moving the desync error out of the screan, unpausing the game, and, well, just continuing the game :)
So far works wonders, even with mods. I've yet to encounter any issues using this method. The game does crash from time to time, but, its CK3, there will be crashes anyway, so i dont know if they are correlated to the method used, or not. Altough, a dire warning, if any player after that desync, presses ESC button - the game will close, as it will close the desync window. I had to block the ESC button with 2 toothpick to not press in impulsivly. So be weary off that

That actually works in multiplayer?

For the living characters one yes it works fine, but as said above. That only works for people who don't smash escape instinctively to close menus. The moment someone presses escape they disconnect. I wish the game would have the option to continue anyway like stellaris has.
It's why me and a friend just let it roll over to the next month + a couple of days, which so far has prevented it 100% for appearing for us.

Any other type of desync however will cause strange issues over time. Nor do either ways to circumvent them work properly for them.
