Stuck traveling bug

I didn't play for a couple of months, came back to the game a few days ago and in two separate save files I've gotten stuck traveling after I've finished the contract as an adventurer, and now that I think about it both were the tax collecting contract that got me stuck...

Raising my army and putting myself as the commander isn't available to me, because it just says "You cannot command an army: I am traveling".

What can I do? I have no mods installed.

I think I had similiar issue occasionally but was able to move my camp somehow. Try all possible methods of moving the camp.

Dang I don't think you can fix it if you can't raise your army.

Hey, I had the same problem. Somehow, this worked: there was a nearby county with about 250 levies and I had 100 Men-at-Arms and could afford to recruit some mercs. I declared war on the guy and stopped being a traveller. I was travelling from Mecca to 'Ula with my camp on a Collect Taxes contract. I was stuck in travel at the destination for months until I figured out this unlock.

To be clear: I also couldn't command my army, nor could any of my followers. I was going in with just the Men at Arms, but they were too few for the siege, which led me to mercs (which will also give you a commander)
