AGOT DRAGON DUELS

i keep having this issue in agot where my dragon riders will just fight and kill each other in dragon duels i think its if they're both commanding and army and they join up their forces that it triggers a dragon duel thinking they are enemies then one of them ends up dying it even happens with my character just if they're an ally instead of my own commanders. I was playing the dance of dragons as a vassal with my own character and their own dragon i went to join up with Rhaenyras army and it issued a dragon duel with them. its really annoying and gets in the way if i want invite dragon seeds. is there any mod or setting or literally anything i can do to fix this.
