I can't force people to convert to my religion if they aren't my vassals.

So I was playing a Bohemia game in which I created my religion and I kidnapped counts and duke's external to my count in other to expand my religion, problem is that after kidnapping them I am unable to demand conversion to my faith. My question is, Is this a bug? In case it isn't, is there any other way that I can convert them that doesn't involve a war?

Wow...so much to discuss here. I'll just stick to some easy stuff...

IF EVER you want vassals to convert to your religion without any warfare I would:

Sway them to max
Friend them
Obtain hooks
Then using these tools, ask them to convert.

CK3 is so multi faceted that this non-combat mentality won't pull through in the long haul. You have to use EVERY tool to your advantage. Crimes will constantly be committed and while normally you may not care about many of these crimes, its a good opportunity to lock up and release for conditions OR revoke titles OR...etc.

Just because YOU have feelings and values, you must always remember you are playing AI which have NO feelings but try to represent themselves with feelings.

I didn't mean my vassals, I meant I need a way to make other important people (foreign heirs, foreign vassals, etc) to turn into my religion. Yk what I mean?
