Why does "Turan" empire get all of the best counties in the game?
there are only FOUR counties in the ENTIRE GAME with 7 baronies, and THREE of them (75%) are in this crappy backwater "empire" that literally nobody would ever play in (until they find out that it's the most powerful realm in the game because of holding slots). why? why are places like Paris or Rome or Constantinople worse than a place literally in the middle of nowhere with no historical importance in the time frame of the game? Maybe the area was more important in the ancient times of the Persian Empire, but in the timeframe of the game, no, it's literally a backwater. It makes no sense, unless there is some dev at paradox from the region. stuff like this really makes this game annoying to play, artificial and arbitrary limits on your domain just based on the area of the map you choose. The map needs either more big counties or they need to split up the ones in Turan because it's pretty ridiculous having those counties only in one tiny area of the map that's not interesting or important.

Turan does not even come close to getting the best counties because that doesn't take into account at all special buildings such as gold mines, unique buildings and the like. At best it only gives you the most generic building slots, which honestly isn't that much.

Best counties were those of which are in the Duchy of Manding (Kingdom of Mali's capital duchy).
There were four gold mines in one duchy, sadly its is nerfed to ground in recent patches now there is only two gold mines.

Calling Mansa Musa "very wealthy" is like calling Stephen Hawkin "intelligent." You're not technically wrong, but you're also incredibly underselling just *how* wealthy they were.

He literally destabilized the economy of an entire empire when he went on hajj to Mecca because he donated so much gold.

This has been over-exaggerated, and debunked, for a long time. The value of Egyptian currency only slightly dropped because of the influx of gold, and only for a decade, according to the historian of the time who witnessed and wrote on it. The only destabilizing factor was the shortage of goods that could be bought with that extra influx of money.
