Grimaldi Dynasty

Is it possible to play as the founder of the Grimaldi Dynasty (current monarchs of Monaco) Oberto Grimaldi? He's a bishop in Genoa and I'd like to play as him and make the Grimaldis into a huge dynasty. Is there any way to make him into a feudal lord or play as a bishop?

You can't play as a bishop. I think you could probably make him as a fedual lord through console commands but I'm not sure myself since I don't use console commands. You could play as a child of his if you seduce him as a female character and legitimize him, though that child would be of your dynasty and not his.

If you don't play ironman, you should revoke his bishopric, you probably have to switch religions for that, give him a castle holding and either select the play as another ruler from pauzemenu(?) or when you load up the game from the mainmenu.

You may be able to take him as prisoner, recruit him and etc etc.
