Iberian struggle: any better way to get involved?
So as far as I've tested, for any foreign culture/religion to become "involved" in the Iberian struggle, 80% of TOTAL counties that follow such culture/religion must be within the Iberian region. This means if my culture/religion has taken up a great amount of counties outside Iberia, it would be then impossible for them to be involved in the Iberian struggle even if I have practically united the whole Iberia under one banner and spread my culture and religion across every corner of this peninsular.

May I ask if there is any mod available, or any simple way to edit the game file, so that this stupid mechanism could be changed and foreign forces could be more simply involved in the struggle?

Do you have any vassals who are currently involved in the struggle ? It's pretty easy to write a debug script for you to run in Debug mode, that will join you to the struggle, the only problem is finding the struggle object.

(Actually any friend or lover or brother etc, anyone with a mechanical relationship to you of some kind, works if you can tell me what that relationship is. )

Edit - Actually you're probably involved as an interloper or bystander so this is easy.

Okay, so go to your Crusader Kings 3 user folder: eg
Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III

make a folder called run

then put this

https://www.dropbox.com/s/d7zp87sagykswjn/joinstruggle.txt?dl=0

in the run folder.

Start the game in Debug mode , load your game, bring up the console ( press ~ ) , and type

run joinstruggle.txt

This will cause both your faith and culture to join the Struggle , causing you to become involved if your capital is in the region.

You can then save the game and quit , if and reload, to get out of debug mode.

(Interestingly while I was testing this, I noticed the Struggle interface says that a Faith or Culture that controls 80% of the region should be able to become involved, but as far as I can tell the code only works the other way around ) (Also 80% is waaay too high a requirement to get involved logically)

I am indeed currently an interloper. Thanks a lot for this script! will try ASAP.

Yes I noticed that the game mechanic seems to work differently from what is suggested in game (checked in both English and Simplified Chinese). Paradox wiki suggests the correct way. The 80% requirement actually makes it near impossible for some faiths/cultures to join the struggle - with just a small counties already occupied outside Iberia, it would be impossible to be involved even if you spread it across every county in Iberia...

I like to make a norse character and then transplant to Iberia...forming a brand new culture in Iberia.
