Not getting credit for holding war objective
Went for a de jure war, holding my objectives but I don't seem to be getting credit for it, and at this point I'm at -35% held objectives even though those counties are being counted in my War Score from Occupied Holdings which is 110%.

They arent the right ones, you probably accidentally declared war for the wrong thing

Nope, had it checked by others, it is the right ones, in fact I am in control of most of Mongolia. I brought in all my allies/house members/dynasty members and as far as the game is concerned there are no objectives to be credited. I'm wondering if it's because its a de jure war? I checked under Enforce Demands, and the counties I get are listed as occupied by me, but it lists nothing under Held War Objectives. Should the objectives be listed but as occupied by them? because there is nothing.

I think you'll need a screen shot or 2, its not a bug Ive ever seen unless its just arrived with the patch, so I think theres probably a reason for it

Yes please post a screenshot of the map over the objective and your land and the war screen if possible.

First screenshot about 8 years in when I was wondering how I was not winning

15 years in and getting worse even though I control most of the objective counties

I ended up winning by capturing the heir and murdering the ruler.

You never held jalmat or salavat. At least not in your screenshot 2

It looks like you were missing quite a few of the actual war targets,

I had like 2/3 of them, at least 1 duchy of 3 counties I held the whole time. It's not all or nothing is it? I got nothing for held objectives.

Over time if you don’t hold the objectives your score ticks down. Yes all of them.

It eventually becomes all or nothing I believe. Since it's a ticking war score, it's a clock counting against you. Which means hold everything that's a target, or hit 100% war score by other means. It's why early on, when you're taking a county, taking the ruler or their heir auto wins the war.

I'd assume in your case, the war lasted so long, that the ticking war score became enough that things like capturing important people, or winning battles no longer became enough to ever win the war, and it actually did become 'all or nothing'.

So in 3 years none of this counts? Also, I never had anything positive in Held objectives. Not even at the beginning.

I did hold them at the beginning, but when things weren't working I headed to the capital all the way east, hoping to capture the ruler and end it.

I'm attacking Mongolia again as Holy War for Kingdom, went straight for the capital and the surrounding area and apparently none of that counts as war objectives either? I'm really confused what counts.

All of the counties that it says you will obtain if you win are your objectives. You can also switch the map to kingdoms mode and that area of Mongolia will be the objective.
Alcina Mar 11, 2022 @ 5:13pm
But in my first example, I never got any % towards held objectives for controlling any of the counties I was fighting for? I had 6/8 of the counties I was fighting or under my control, at least 3 of them the entire time.

And now, do I need to control the entire kingdom of Mongolia to get % towards held objective? The places I already control, including the capital, are all in the kingdom of Mongolia.

Also, if I don't have Held Objectives as it claims, should it be showing that he does?
It's 6 years in now and the held objectives hasn't moved from 0%.

The part that is getting you is that war objective is singular and never plural.

So if the war objective is a single county, then occupying that single county meets the objective and gives you ticking positive warscore, not occupying that county gives you negative war score.

In your screenshot the SINGLE war objective was the De Jure Kingdom of Ruthenia, therefore to meet that single objective, you must occupy ALL parts of Ruthenia to meet that single objective. not occupying the entirety of Ruthenia fails to meet that single objective and therefore the negative warscore.

So there was a point I controlled all the de jure bits in Mongolia, but I still not credit unless you mean that I couldn't have anything going on anywhere else in my kingdom either?

But also, are they supposed to be getting credit for that?
