Strengthen Bloodline tips/advice
Im nearly at the end of my alfred the great play thru, and I still have not got all the requirments, im either very unlucky or im doing something wrong:/

I managed to get amazonian alot, but genius never seems to pass down, and if they do its scattered so like one child gets beauty and the other amazonian. Rather than them all getting the same....

Dont marry genius with beautiful etc.
Genius with Genius so you're sure it passes down.
When they have a genius kid, marry him to genius

It's to be preferred if they have dual-traits ofc., but it's hard to get.
Once you have an opening, go for that 2nd trait and so on

Yeah, it is frustratingly difficult! Even when I went down the dynasty line that improves your chances, I found it nearly impossible with "regular" inheritance rules, so I switched to an elected form of rule, in order to be able to select the best heirs in pursuit of that decision. But I'm still working on it and haven't gotten there quite yet.

EDIT: I'm just waiting for my dynasty members to become more distant relatives, so that I can start marrying within my dynasty, as many of them have two good traits, as opposed to the NPCs I can marry with just one good trait.

Do you have level-1 and level-2 Blood dynasty legacies?

Don't wait for them to be distant, just create a new faith where it's legal :D

I had to wait until I could designate heir with high crown authority to get there. I basically married all the male children without concern for alliances or prestige, just inheritable traits. Also unlocked dynasty perks that boost the chances. Mind that even though 4th perk of the blood dynasty legacy says you can choose trait to be more common to inherit, it is only going to be lvl1 traits(comly, hale and smart?). It allows you to choose Giant though and other neutral traits.

Even after all that I had to choose a woman to become a heir, because she was first to get all 3. Had to deal with some grumbling nobles but hey! Now I have a line of giant, herculean, genius and gorgeous superhumans to rule the puny humans.

Fecund is a best pick among "neutral" traits.

I managed to do it with (slight) incest. My culture allows marriages between cousins, I arranged a lot of marriages for family members for a few generations until genius and beautiful were pretty common traits for my dynasty. Only one family branch ever had issues with inbred children.

But really, expect to arrange a lot of marriages, and use hooks to force 16 year old dynasty members into your court so you can choose their spouses as well. :P If you let the AI choose who they marry, their traits will be watered down and eventually lost.

You're not going to place your children to rule all nearby kingdoms as indepenant rulers to harvest all sweet Renown? oO
As fecund will help them to maintaining bloodline (as AI is marry like idiot) & don't allow them to became a powerhourse with all succession wars.

Don't bother with genius or other top tier traits, there is a 40% chance of a genius heir even if you and your wife are intelligent. To get 2 traits you do have to go on a seduction spree. 3 traits are harder but with enough 2 trait people you can eventually get one.

Am on my very first playthrough, continuing from the tutorial and 90 years have passed. My grandson is genius-robust-handsome (but also ill smh) and he is betrothed to my granddaughter who is Intelligent-robust-beautiful. Wasted a bunch of renown disinheriting my sons with the first guy, so only just going to unlock the tier 2 "Blood" dynasty legacy that gives +30% chance of upgrading congenital traits.

The only trait i am having issue with is pure-blooded, been seducing a woman and her descendants for 2 generations and only just got that trait on a woman with intelligent trait.

It's MORE then worth it. Renown perks + check buff you will receive from "Dynasty of many crowns" ;)

If you are really into it heres a hint, marry ur daughters to secondary heirs and choose matrilineal lineage. Then murder the primary heir.
