The King of England cannot give independence to the count of Kent because Kent is de-jure part of England. He can give independence to the count of Dublin, however, because it's not de-jure part of his kingdom.
However, they have to be YOUR vassal. You cannot give independence to counts or dukes who are vassals of your other vassals. Also you cannot give independence if you're not the top liege. You can't give independence to a count if you're a vassal duke of a king or an emperor. You can't give your liege's land away, only he can do that.
I am trying to give 8 counties to my dynasty as independant rulers so i can get the "dynasty of many crowns". My daughter is already the independant queen of Jerusalem so i only need 8 titles.
u need 10 independent kings/emperors for this decision
County of Dover is de jure part of Kingdom of England which is de jure part of Empire of Brittania. You can't give it away.
As @Dayve pointed out.... You could give away Ireland, assuming you're also the king of Ireland. At least I think you can. I'm not sure if Ireland is a de jure part of Britannia. I've not formed Brittania.
Or you could give away, say, Brittany, if you were the King or Duke of Brittany. I'm pretty sure that's not a de jure part of Brittania.
Yep yep... which is why I think Brittany is perfect for experimenting. A one-duchy kingdom would be perfect for that.
You need 10 independant rulers. Of which 1 at least is king or higher. Meaning 9 counties should suffice, as long as i find a way to grant them.
i try both tribal and feudal, see work but you must really poor
