ummmm? what? was looking at my new character card once I became my new heir and it says "this is you, Allegedly?" is the game breaking the fourth wall on me?

I think that's because your character is Disfigured.
It happens for other traits too.

-Leprosy: This is you, unfortunately. (i think)

-Melancholy: This is you, even if you don't feel like it sometimes.
