I have been thinking should players try romance their wife in game and be loyal to her, that could it affect whereabouts of the wife :D
Rofl, but you can't blame the son of that :D
Oh man that is so funny, welcome to the English nobility. You are next up on krunjar's Jerry Springer show.
You should execute her and her father. Messsucher is right, its not the kids fault, he could still be your heir.
In my second generation the wife gave 2 daughters. One was from cheating behind the King's back. In the third generation 2/3 daughters had to be arrested for sleeping around. Things are definitely out of hand. I think only one of these women had the lustful trait.
Do you have daughters which are adult? If you just knew what they do, maybe better you don't :D
For sure, they must be yelled at Paradox forums to fix that ♥♥♥♥.
"Gee, my husband tracked down all the men which slept with his first wife, castrated and blinded them before he executed them after they had healed. Meanwhile he is off for the 5-yearly torture session with aforementioned wife, who has been spayed and blinded for the crime of trying to pass of her son as the rightful heir of the kingdom. Hmm, better jump on any ♥♥♥♥ in the vicinity!
You also may consider switching to female preference/female only inheritance laws later on. If all important marriages are matrilinear it doesn't matter who fathered the child, the dynasty lives on.
I think there are two main problems:
First with only 5 Lifestyles, about 20% of all characters in game go for Intrige. Of those, a good number will put points into the seduction tree.
Then, there is the problem of distances. Seduction should probably be limited to who is close by. It doesn't make sense that my courtier in Castille has fornicated with someone in Sweden. It should be limited to someone who isn't month of travel away, however, this would make the seduction tree pretty useless.
Also good chance, that dread is not actually useful here, as the action is coming from someone against your wife, not you. This probably should be changed into dread extending to the closer family.
If she really cheated on me, atleast let make this as possibility as now it looks like my wife was just angry because burning every rivals on my feast. Then she decided to make revenge and just pointed random guy to just angry me.
For me it seems like some random event that just fire to often.
Unfortunately this sort of thing does actually happen in real life. However I agree that this sucks as a game mechanism, games are supposed to reduce stress, your stress not your characters, not increase it.
In CK2 there was a similar event. The funniest thing was that it didn’t check if child had a twin. You could have one twin declared bastard and second one remain a legitimate one.
Different people find different kinds of games relaxing. For instance, puzzles drive me up a wall, for others they help them sleep... if a game is too stressful, you should play something else. I personally laugh at these kinds of things happening in a game and don't mind them one bit. It's like an interactive soap opera (with much higher stakes) to me :)
