Crusader Kings III

Holy order of same faith attacking me.
TLDR: Holy Orders hired by AI are able to fight my armies of the same faith, but not the other way around which seems like a broken game mechanic.

Details:

I was just playing as a Catholic ruler of Empire of Italia. I declared war on another Catholic ruler, the King of Sicily, for the Kingdom title. He was currently defending in a Holy War against a Muslim ruler and as such had hired the Knights Hospitaler. My troops greatly outnumbered his non-Holy order troops. Thus, I expected to easily win the war given my numerical advantage. However, the Holy order that he hired engaged me in battle and I ended up losing the war.

I guess I don't really mind if Holy Orders end up fighting against Catholic rulers as there are examples of this from history. However, this seems broken because they wont do the same for me. When I hire a Holy Order it will only fight non-Catholic armies. Thus, in my war against Sicily I was expecting not to have to face the Knights Hospitaler, but then did.

Are you sure you didn't change religion with some event?

If your enemy is in a religious war, they could hire the holy order, and fight you with it. You can do the same to others as well.

Yeah exactly dont fight them when they are in a holy war (or a war versus Hostile or evil Faiths) so the holy orders can't help them out
