Western court sitting pose on the throne is ugly and unrealistic.
Feet should not hang down from throne, that looks ridicolous. Come on paradox, rework this shi*y looking style of sitting on the throne, no ruler would sit like this ever. Rulers look like 3 years old on child chair.

Yes, its strange. Many rulers had much lower chairs. Look at the throne of Richard the Lionheart or Charlemagne. These remind me of booster chairs at a restaurant. This is more something of a Bronze Age style, like the Palace of Knossos, though feet were still on the ground (just not bent like in European thrones). Note too that almost all medieval thrones and courts had stairs going up or down to the lord to prevent from people running up, and also the king was usually lined with mirrors (like King Richard) because that's how light was provided and because it made the king glow with splendor. Of course they are far too small in game to be used for dancing and revelry and massive feasts like they are historically.

edit: There is a mod started that is adding historical throne rooms. They did the court of Andalusia in TWO days! It's beautiful and impressive looking. I recommend looking at mods for good court rooms, sadly they disable achievements which I use as win conditions. Unfortunately from what I can tell these rooms were more designed after fantasy games
