Still can't get Varangian Guard right

With the new DLC Roads to Power I am finally given the option to officially establish the Varangian Guard as a regiment, I assume. Except in my case they must be of... Mossi (Sahelian from Sub-Saharan Africa) persuasion.
Questions: there are still Norse characters in my game and there is still Norse culture (Iceland), not to mention Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. There are also many various Slavic cultures. Historically the first Varangians were Slavic/Norse people and they were officially established after Vladimir The Great sent Basil II some 6000 troops after establishing himself in Kiev.

Where my Varangian Guard?

By this do you mean its an old save-older than today?

A regiment of Brock Lesners? Where do i sign?

Methinks you loaded an outdated save, despite the warning the game gives you.

Yeah, I see you going all over the forum telling people they messed by loading an old save despite the warning the game gives you as if you're getting paid to do it, but that's not the problem here, is it?

Also, the game did not give me any warnings, it just said the game has been updated and my MODs have been disabled. I see no bugs or issues with my save, everything is playing beautifully, except for this.

They should make every effort to maintain continuity between game versions. It took me a year of IRL playing to get close to rebuilding the Roman Empire, I don't have a lot of time to play and work and have a life. I ain't starting a whole new run just because of this.

ALL OLD SAVES ARE BROKEN. This is not a new thing for major builds, especially ones that change so much. You will find something else broken if you continue trying to play an old save on the new patch.
