Royal Court without DLC?

I loaded up the new update to check it out and to my surprise i can use royal court without actually having the DLC, i'm assuming a future update will take this away.

I agree with it being taken away, as it doesn't even work properly to begin with. Can't hold court, doesn't have the third tab to change the courts servant amounts, food, lodging etc to increase court grandeur. So when you get too strong the court grandeur ends up being too low compared to what the expected amount is and you can't do anything about it since artifacts can only increase it by so much.

I now assume they added it to make the game slightly annoying to try push people to buy the DLC to get rid of the negative, same when they added legitimacy

I'd just stop playing the game in single player entirely if that really is the case. I got plenty of friends with all the dlc after all.

Luckily there are mods that fix these issues for me

issue is that the game still yells at us when we have low Court Grandeur. Basically giving us penalties that require us to purchase the DLC to fix.

I appreciate being able to see the royal court now, I think it's great to have this in the base game. I understand they want to sell the Royal Court DLC but the base game should not give negative modifiers for having too low court grandeur. That's just annoying and coercing. Make Royal Court DLC cost ~€20 and I will buy it.

What issue? Being able to see the court... while having the DLC? That's intentional

The royal court was updated so it would work with the Roads to Power DLC for the Byzentene Empire, if you don't have RTP or Royal court your only have access to the tribal royal court no matter what you are.

Removed the warning telling you that you have less than expected court grandeur, if you do not own the 'Royal Court' expansion.
