Wanderer... Guide? to be a conqueror?
So i made an adventurer, and started making his entourage of wacky followers
How do i make like a Mercenary Corp and eventually be able to overthrow a place and conquer cities?

Choose the Sword for Hire/Sellswords (I can't remember exactly what it's called) option and take some martial contracts. When you get tired of that life you can either help a Lord with a war and he might give you the option to take some land as payment. You can use your soldiers to attack and take over land and titles depending on your renown level. I THINK you can marry your way into titles but I haven't really explored that much since I didn't spend much time as a wanderer. Honestly I think it's best to just use your overwhelming mercenary army to just attack the duchy/kingdom you want and just take it over by force.

marrying for claim is hard since you have -50 adventurer opinion unless you have strong hook.

i picked that option but i cant seem to deploy army because no levies.
it says. so i opt to hire mercenaries to assist their wars.

why wont it let me deploy me and my men?
i have already made my men-at-arms

You should be able to raise your army just like you would if you had land. I believe it's the same button. "Raise all here" which raises them at your camp location. This is when you have taken a war contract for a faction to fight on their behalf. Edit: It's the Knight icon contracts on the map.

so wait... if ur unlanded and u join a war to assist someone, u cant do anything unless u hire mercenaries to help attack the opposing army?

Have you upgraded your camp and made your own private army?

???

Here are some tips I figured out:

-To save gold, never upgrade your pavilion, wait for the events. You can upgrade your pavilion for free or half price with instant construction if you get a level 4 revelry or a random event while traveling where it says you need better beds for your back (requires half the upgrade price). Make sure before you get the actual upgrade for your pavilion when selecting the option or revelry ends that you make sure you cancel anything under construction as there is a bug (i think it is a bug) that won't give you the upgrade if your camp is already busy building something.

-Only make requests from your patrons when you absolutely need it. Either for men at arms in the beginning to build your army or if you are running low on food. An occasional tournament is a good thing to request. I made the mistake of requesting all the time and blew all my prestige for when I needed it to do certain decisions.

-You want to build proving grounds and the lock box upgrade to get the master of spoils officer ASAP or before your first battle so you can earn gold from battles.

Of course I recommend just roleplaying your character but just some stuff to know.

Prestige is extremely easy to get as an adventurer. You don't really need to bank it. Use it 1st for money to upgrade your camp, and then 2nd to get an army. The best army is one that the landed people pay for. I find after a few years, you get prestige faster than you can spend it.

The pavilion is part of a camp. Mercenary camp is a type of camp. You change camp type in the decisions menu, IIRC.

Edit: nope, you change camp type in the realm menu.

You need to make some men-at-arms units otherwise the only troops you will get are your knights, and that won't end well.

Going from Adventurer to Landed is extremely underwhelming. You will go from effortlessly supporting 11 MAA regiments at 24+ levels each, to being extremely gimped in terms of money and fun options. It's not worth it at all.
