Yep a random child you find while traveling can pop up and several different outcomes can happen you can take them in and raise them as one of your own(they can sometimes leave before they reach adulthood) you can adopt them officially as a member of your family which will cause others of your family to be really upset but usually the feral child tends to have a congenital trait from my experience which is either a good or bad one usually a good one from my experience. I also like to rp that the child was lost by people ALSO on adventures. I usually take them in because they usually end up being really good if they stay with you. If anything they can still be married to one of my followers or family members. It is also a way to get an heir if your character is sterile, infertile, or barren due to age.

I tried it but the kid ran off. Not really sure what the draw is supposed to be, the feral doesn't even have any traits.

Just a random child - They will have random traits, sometimes good like quick or sometimes bad like slow.
