Choose new destiny

is it completely random or do you get some choice as to who to play as? For example im a landed vassal in byzantium, how do i ensure i play as the 4th born son while leaving all lands (and MaAs unfortunately) to my eldest?? i want to become an adventurer again

There is a Character Interaction to appoint one of your children as your Favorite Child. This will guarantee that they always appear in the Choose a New Destiny selection.

If they hold no land when you die, they'll become an Adventurer when you choose to play as them.

perfect, i guess this is a nice way to creare a cadet house too, if your favorite child does get land but you rather play as the genius witch anyway, Not sure cadets even have positives though, from the dynast heads perspective.... but thanks this is a great addition to the dlc
