I cannot believe that this was intentional ... you need duke/kingdom titles to grant governerships to avoid handing out domain when the vassal dies, yet you cant usurp from a foreign ruler even when you meet every single requirement. So you're stuck granting counties, one by one, to counts within dejure duchy borders, only to inherit them back when they die to repeat the process... how is this intentional ....

The button to unsurp titles has changed. It's that smallish circle at the title screen.

But I guess in Administrative government you need to use that new currency (influence) to get titles. I don't have the dlc so I cant tell about it more.

If the title holder no longer controls a single county, the title should be destroyed automatically after some time. Unless you changed the De Jure Requirement game rule.

So you just needed to wait, then you can create the title anew.

@crusher
And until then you're handing out counties one by one to dejure counts or feeding it to a non admin vassal, this has got to be the worst idea PDX has come up with, i've been thinking it's a bug but it's not, its a "feature"

@gorlos it's not getting titles within your realm that's an issue, it's getting duchy/kingdom titles away from foreign rulers you just invaded. You can't usurp from them, so in the mean time you're granting counties one by one to counts that, If they die, you inherit back their domain, to then grant again one-by-one until the duke/kingdom title is destroyed and you can make it. This is just horrible gameplay design.

What I forgot to mention: When you yourself didnt transfer to Administrative Government (Due to swearing fealty, etc), you can usurp titles (Which are not part of the empire) even though your part of an Admin Government

Ohh that could be a reason why i were suprised by this topic. I can usurp titles as Emperor of Byzantine Empire, but i have become him by buying estate as adventurer.

Yes, indeed. That is why its best to wait and esthablish yourself before transferring. I'm almost king and wil transfer to the new government

An update the titles do become available later on. Mostly to be created or even usurped. Indeed, the button has been changed.
