Landless needs more challenge
It feels weird having more money and better troops than actual kings. Landless character power needs to be dialed back a bit.

Wait a minute, you created the most powerful mercenary army IN THE WORLD, and you are complaining that you can do it? I WANT TO DO IT NOW!

I like that you can be a powerful mercenary. It just needs to be harder to maintain a large army. Right now you don't have to pay any upkeep and you can reinforce them instantly with gold or provisions.

I get you want it to be harder, but as I understand, it was made a little easy to allow you to not lose centuries trying to conquer a county. And I am 100% for it. I agree, it is not realistic, but if it were harder to raise an army, then it would take even longer for me to get a county by force, and thus begin my rule. Beginning as an adventurer is really fun, and I dont imagine myself playing something else, as I recently bought the game, but if it were harder to manage an army, it would kill my joy as I want to be a ruler in my first generation as adventurer. It is not realistic, but it is fun and cool to play.

There's no point in conquering a county because then you can't afford the MAAs you had as a wandering nobody. Getting land should be an upgrade from being landless, not a downgrade on power and money.

i think there needs to be a limit of some kind to it or maybe if your army gets too big rulers will want to kick you out

Your army should require provision upkeep and if you run out they pillage the countryside and piss off the local lord. Also raiding should be an option for gold and provision so you can be a criminal outside of missions.

Not sure about the other types but they will probably nerf Merc adventurers a little more. They can stack a lot of MAA and knight bonuses very fast. Plus they make a lot of money from joining contract wars and getting having big contributions. I was doing a playthrough as one and I had over 33k gold in like 100 years. And I would have had more but I spent a lot deleting and changing my MAA

I do not get it, if you want a challenge, be landed. the whole game is trying to get you landed as soon as possible.
So it isn't about a challenge, it is more about we need to grind more.

That is fine, but don't mistake the two, you created the biggest baddest mercenary army in history. that is fine, time to land them like the Holy Orders in Prussia did. the Catalan Company did, once you hit the mile stone of there is no more challenge for mercenary company, it is time to be landed you can even become a conqueror.

Cause you find itself not challenging anymore. cause you hit the END GAME of landless.
Doesn't mean Paradox needs to create more content for the END GAME grind.
Same story once you are a Emperor and have conquered the known world. (or have set out your goals you wanted to achieve) CK2 and CK3 was just that, once you hit the endgame.
It is time to start a new game, or time to go towards another dynasty member, time to go towards another vassal, see if you can break up your own created Empire.

The Adventurer already has a balance part, now just they explaining why suddenly a horde of 100k Adventure party comes and shake up your known world. (like in CK2)

Bro i hit "end game landless" on my first character. I wanted to play landless because of the challenge of working your way up from nothing. I want to be a humble traveler, bandit, mercenary struggling to survive. Become a knight in a lords army and earn land to my name in a war. This is a wet dream of RP potential and gameplay mechanics that's thrown out the window by the fact a landless character has more wealth and power than landed Kings.

Then go work your way up from nothing again, same way the whole CK3 is played once you hit the stage where there is no more challenge you start again.
The game is made easy mode, cause they are pampering to the older gamers who needs a easier time since they are old.
And the new youth who still has to learn the Mechanics. who find the game way too difficult to learn.

The game hit that market. if you want to RP you can go RP, infact you can mod the game to suit your difficulty. now I said fair is fair, when they had to nerf landless cause it was too easy And I agree.
But it will never hit a level where truely dedicated players who knows every mechanic inside out, can find a challenge without MODs.
Cause then they would dump the demographic they are aiming for.

As El Cid, I was a better general than Genghis Khan. My 4k army would stack wipe armies that were 2x, 3x larger and lose less than 100 soldiers in each battle. I probably could have fought larger armies, however I grew bored and am off to other challenges

You just need to unlock the conqueror option. Then you can take over an entire kingdom with your huge army and claim the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ master.

I just got a claim from the Orthodox Patriarch on a Kingdom, asked another King to support me and steamrolled through the kingdom and then had to downsize my army because my monthly income went to -50.

The game already being poorly designed is not an excuse for them to continue making bad design choices. At least with landed you actually have to fight your way to the top while landless has no risk to become the most powerful character on the map. I will definitely be installing mods to add more depth and challenge once they're available.

Now it may sound like I'm just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the game but I really am enjoying it. Landless is a great feature and this is easily the best dlc they've released. It just feels half baked at the moment and it probably is because they want us to buy the next dlc to complete it.

"El CID was much better more fighter that Gehingis Khan."

uh, Genghis Khan was arguably the most successful conqueror of all time. El Cid was not in the same league...no, wait universe as Temujin

Unless you are stating who is better with sword, which I do not have an opinion on.
