Long Load Times

Anyone know how to fix the in excess of 5-10min loading times for the game even on a high end rig

It sounds like your "high-end" rig is using an HDD.

Nope. That's a normal thing for ck3.

Having a SSD and modern multicore CPU helps unburden the load, but CK3 is a hungry beast and initial loafing is quite long.

it is a bit ridiculous honestly...I also have 5+min 'Initializing game' ...the fun part is when it crashes and I have to reload.

i use an SSD and it also takes around 4 minutes or so before the game is loaded in completely. It's very long, but once it's loaded in i can play for hours without problems.

Remove or move all saves which you don't want to play at that moment. It seems the game tries to load all the saves. So, the more you have, the longer it takes.

What Vanya said. I have an old "mid-high" end and mine loads in like a minute.

The game also saves to your documents folder, so if that is on a hdd you will still get slow load times despite the game being installed on another drive.
