Fireside Chat not working?

I can click the "start camp revelry" button fine when the intent is set to "recreation", but if I change it to Fireside Chat the button is shaded out and I can't select it.

There is no tooltip to explain why it is greyed out. Anyone know what the requirements are?

I think it is broken.

I've also had various issues with several elements of text where it either puts the wrong name (the speaker addresses himself rather than the other party) or else the name is replaced with "ERROR CODE - 64QZASDHJLDJKLFFH*&^"

I don't know where these studios get off releasing expensive DLCs before they're ready. They seem to expect the customers to be their free play testers, then they fix all of the many, many bugs as they go along. I miss the 90s where software worked on release...

Aka, you've not built the Roaring Campfire which has the tool tip that explicitly says "Unlocks Fireside Chat Intent for Camp Revelry Activity."

Sounds like a local issue rather than something being broken.

Verify files, check and remove mods, one possible bug could be language localization based.

I already verified files, and did restarts, and ticked and unticked DLCs etc. Wasted a couple of hours and counting...

Put in a bug report of the PDX site with the save file. Or go find the code for the trigger conditions for that particular button and figure what isnt being satisfied.

I've been able to get both, followers are somewhat inconsistent and I've not decided (or been told) the requirements for followers. But they are around.

Yeah, I've never been able to get followers to be Guest of Honor. I tried a brand new game, built a campfire, and have exactly the same problem with that game too.
Maybe it's a local issue. I dunno.
It's enough to be annoying anyway. Think I'll play something else that actually works...
