I know you can legitimize them. Their children?.... I would suspect not, but I have never tried that.
Any children AFTER legitimization should be covered as house members but any from before legitimization...?
This is my experience also, would think we could just do it but sometimes I can't and I know the kid is mine. I wonder if it has to be widely known I have one? Most of them don't give me the option.
First, you have to be of a culture/religion that will let you legitimize bastards. Then it has to be a 'known' secret. You can expose that secret yourself if you know and want to. Last, I *think* you have to be head of house/dynasty - but that last one I may be wrong on.
